Johnson & Pace Accepts Safety Council of East Texas Awards

Longview-based Johnson & Pace Incorporated is honored with two safety awards.

Longview, Texas: Johnson & Pace Incorporated was honored by the Safety Council of East Texas (SCET) with the following awards for 2014: 4 Years Worked – Zero Incidents Award and Zero Incident Rate Award. Only member companies who performed work within the East Texas area, for the year 2014 were eligible for an award.

SCET is in its 24th year, and it was formed by local contractors and industries to promote and improve workplace safety through safety training. SCET is also a founding member of the national nonprofit Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils.

Rick Wall, Council President of Operations said, “The criteria to qualify for an award was stringent, and based upon the federal OSHA injury reporting requirements. Johnson & Pace Incorporated met the award requirements and we are excited to recognize their efforts in promoting safety training in the workplace. The companies receiving these awards understand that safety training is required by law and it is good business to provide a safe and healthful workplace for their employees.”

Marilyn Petty, Safety Coordinator, of Johnson & Pace Incorporated said, “We are honored to receive these two safety awards in recognition of all our employees’ commitment to work safe. For the fourth year in a row, our employees have had Zero Incidents, and we applaud them.” 

Companies from the manufacturing industries, industrial services, energy, oil field services, engineering, architectural and surveying services, and construction participated in the event.
