Johnson & Pace Teams with Lee Lewis Construction on New Sysco Distribution Center

Aerial Shot of Sysco
Johnson & Pace has completed designs for numerous retail and manufacturing companies and began the design for the new Sysco Foods Facility in Longview in early 2007, working with Lee Lewis Construction on this design-build project. The project required the expertise of all of Johnson & Pace's departments, including the civil, surveying, architectural, structural and MEP engineering departments.

The $36 million facility includes a 300,000 s.f. warehouse facility and a two-story 65,000 s.f. office building, along with an 11-ac truck parking lot and truck maintenance facility. The project kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony on May 8, 2007. Current projections show the facility will be complete by mid-2008. The aerial photograph above shows the project under construction, with most of the project site work complete. The rendering below is the Sysco prototype for this project.
